Recently, I created a video discussing the six revolutions that will transform our world. You can watch the video here:

I have also included the transcript of the video below in case you prefer reading. Further down this page, you can choose to translate the entire transcript into your preferred language.

Have you contemplated the changes that we will face in the coming years?

Are you aware that we are gradually entering a new era–a world that will be entirely different from what we are currently experiencing? Are we prepared for these changes?

I have been investigating recent developments and their consequences for the society, businesses, and individuals.

After years of working and conducting scientific research, I have come to the conclusion that we are gradually entering a new era marked by new revolutions that will change nearly everything.

These revolutions have already commenced years ago, and will intensify exponentially in the coming years.

For example, due to the developments brought by companies such as Netflix, Uber and Airbnb, the world has already undergone significant changes. These innovative companies disrupted traditional industries and reshaped the way we live, work, and interact. Transformative tools that reshape the world are already accessible to nearly everyone.

In this video, I will provide an in-depth exploration of the current significant developments and offer insights into what the future holds in store.

Now let us delve into more details regarding the six revolutions that will transform the world.

The first revolution is the Social Media Revolution. Social media will expand and reshape the way we interact with each other and conduct businesses. Connectivity will continue to expand globally in the upcoming years, with almost everybody providing access to the Internet. This will, for example, boost global international business and enhance social interactions among different cultures and employability.

The applications are vast. We see, for instance, that refugees are using social media and Google Maps to find their way to safe countries.

One of the most significant contemporary trends related to the Social Media Revolution is the exponential growth of the Metaverse that will occur.

We’re not referring to ‘Meta’ in the context of Facebook but rather ‘Meta’ as a concept.

Metaverse is a collective virtual space in which users can interact, socialize, and engage with digital environments and other users through avatars. It is a convergence of augmented and virtual realities, offering immersive and shared experiences.

The metaverse will propel us further into the domain of Mixed Reality, signifying a future in which mixed reality will be central to our lives. Mixed reality, abbreviated as MR, blends the elements of virtual and augmented reality by integrating digital objects into the real world, enabling interaction and spatial awareness. It offers diverse applications in entertainment, education, healthcare, and more.

Ultimately, mixed reality will not only enable us to see and hear but also to taste and feel things from a distance, engaging all our senses within mixed reality.

For instance, some makeup companies already offer a glimpse of the early stages of mixed reality by showcasing how one would look with different makeup styles, illustrating the potential of this technology.

Some studies suggest that by 2026, at least 25% of our daily experiences will be within the Metaverse.

The emergence of online avatars and freely customizable virtual spaces already gives us a glimpse of this evolving landscape.

For instance, Smart Shoes connected to social media can already identify nearby individuals for potential connections, while Smart Glasses linked to the Internet can provide real-time explanations of our surroundings, exemplifying the expanding impact of the Social Media Revolution.

The second revolution is the Technological Revolution. Technological Revolution is poised to strengthen the Industrial Revolution with robotics, new types of machines that are merging with Artificial Intelligence, and, of course, a plethora of open hardware solutions that will alter our world forever.

Currently, more data can be stored with reduced costs and increased capacity than years ago. In the future, data storage systems will be improved significantly. These technological advances will enable us to achieve greater efficiency and lower costs.

We have already observed robots working tirelessly twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, in hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition, countries such as the Netherlands and Germany have employed robots during major calamities.

We are already witnessing the increasing presence of humanoid robots in the service sector, especially with a notable surge in their adoption in China.

Thanks to the technological revolution, in the near future, we will be able to easily three D print a cell phone, a dress, or even a robot in our own homes.

Robots can handle numerous tasks that we prefer not to perform. However, this revolution may also have negative consequences, as robots can replace many jobs that are currently performed by humans.

Third, the Software Revolution means that almost everyone will have access to different types of information due to open-source data and global Internet connectivity.

We are already experiencing a surge in open-source programs as major corporations are providing their computer language models for free use, allowing these models to be used in commercial applications. This implies that the development of complex AI-driven programs have become increasingly accessible.

Artificial Intelligence simplifies coding, making it accessible even to those without extensive technological skills.

Governments that are in line with these trends are actively encouraging open-source solutions. For example, in Europe, scientific research is expected to become an entirely open source and freely accessible by 2030.

Developing new software will eventually become more accessible to more people, and new types of IT services will be developed worldwide.

Think about services that can analyze data on a massive scale in any language and location.

We can also see the proliferation of software solutions online with an ever-increasing presence in the market. Currently, we see the introduction of at least 100 new Artificial Intelligence and software programs weekly, many of which offer free usage!

With the assistance of Artificial Intelligence, we can already right now create a video script, build a full website, or even develop an app within just two hours!

Because of Artificial Intelligence, life can eventually become easier, and the costs of running a business can decline significantly.

For example, Artificial Intelligence planners can already organize your daily tasks, which can increase your productivity. With Artificial Intelligence, you can also generate a comprehensive business plan, sales plan, or book and achieve excellent results in just one day. You can easily create an image of an assignment and let Artificial Intelligence solve it effortlessly. Alternatively, a concise summary of a 1000-page document can be obtained in just one click using Artificial Intelligence.

Developers can easily create games with the help of Artificial Intelligence and various integrated plugins in just a few clicks. Students can receive instant answers to any question or assignment using Artificial Intelligence on their laptops or phones.

As a business owner, you can quickly create your own chatbot within hours to automate customer support or develop your own Artificial Intelligence assistant capable of answering all types of questions based on your documents and provided information.

Another example lies in the remarkable surge of blockchain technology on the global scale.

Blockchain is a distributed digital ledger technology that securely and transparently records transactions. The key difference is its decentralized nature, where no single entity has control, making it highly secure and resistant to tampering, unlike centralized systems such as traditional databases or financial institutions.

Bitcoin is an example that operates on the blockchain technology.

Moreover, there are already approximately 30,000 IT companies worldwide that are built on blockchain foundations.

Of course, many crypto companies experience a rapid hype and then fade away.

However, at the same time, thousands of new blockchain-related companies emerge frequently.

Consider the following: even if just 5% of all blockchain technology companies achieve success, what kind of decentralized society will we inhabit?

Furthermore, even central banks have embraced the blockchain technology.

For instance, governments are actively developing Digital Euros and Digital Dollars, both of which work on blockchain technology.

Moreover, the widespread acceptance of blockchain is evident in the adoption of Digital IDs that operate on blockchain technology, as well as a multitude of applications driven by smart contracts.

This trend will eventually extend to other sectors, all of which will rely on smart contracts based on blockchain technology.

Fourth revolution, the Big Data Revolution is already underway, with a wealth of data available on computers or in the cloud. Big data refers to the working and solving of large and complex sets of information that traditional data-processing methods struggle to handle. It involves collecting, processing, and analyzing massive amounts of data to uncover insights, patterns, and trends.

An increasing amount of data will become interconnected, providing us with valuable information to improve everything from our health to our infrastructure and even the way we teach or eat. And there are more developments on the horizon.

Quantum computers are already in the developmental stage and will soon become available for commercial use, eventually becoming accessible to you and me. This will usher in a profound transformation.

Unlike classical computers, quantum computers use qubits instead of bits. Qubits can be in many states simultaneously, which helps quantum computers to solve complex problems much more efficiently, particularly in cryptography and optimization. Quantum computers can operate many times faster than our computers at home.

Quantum computers have the potential to revolutionize hacking and cybersecurity. Their incredible computational power can break the many encryption methods that are currently used to protect sensitive data. For example, they could crack widely used encryption algorithms in seconds, compromising the security of digital communications, financial transactions, and sensitive information.

This means that while quantum computers offer great promise for solving complex problems, they also pose a significant challenge to cybersecurity, requiring the development of quantum-resistant encryption methods to safeguard data in the quantum era.

Fifth, the Internet Revolution will continue to expand to locations, such as manufacturing floors, energy grids, transportation, and healthcare facilities. Almost every tool will be connected to the Internet, making our surroundings smarter.

This revolution will usher us into the age of the Internet of Things, abbreviated as IoT, where everyday physical objects will be connected to the Internet and be able to identify themselves with other devices.

We already see many smart buildings worldwide, buildings that can recognize when they have to turn on coffee for an employee or when to turn off the energy in the building because nobody is left.

Other examples are smart robot vacuum cleaners and smart pans that can automatically prepare our food at home.

The last revolution will be related to the Internet of Senses.

The Internet of Senses is the next frontier, extending our sensory experiences through technology, with examples such as Elon Musk’s Neuralink, military experimentations for “super soldiers”, and the emergence of individuals voluntarily connecting their brains to the Internet.

We can already see so-called cyborgs, who have integrated technology into their bodies and can already perform tasks beyond the capabilities of regular humans.

Currently, we see also an increasing presence of the Internet of Senses in the medical industry. For example, technology is being used to regulate insulin in patients with diabetes, and individuals with stage 5 cancer have their body parts replaced with the help of technology. People without legs can walk again with the help of advanced prosthetics and innovative assistive technologies. Thanks to the assistance of technology and sensors, human life can be extended.

The Internet of Senses 2.0, in its highly advanced form, is currently more a futuristic concept that aspires to enhance our sensory perception and experiences through technology.  It envisions a world in which our five basic senses, including sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell, are enhanced, augmented, or connected to digital networks. This revolution promises to revolutionize how we perceive and interact with the world around us, opening up a realm of possibilities for immersive experiences, healthcare, entertainment, and beyond. Some even suggest that our bodies will have absolutely no limits within the next 20 years.

In conclusion, these six revolutions are:

  1. The Social Media Revolution,
  2. The Technological Revolution,
  3. The Software Revolution,
  4. The Big Data Revolution,
  5. The Internet of Things and
  6. The Internet of Senses.

These six revolutions function as the gears of change, working in harmony to drive us toward a global transformation. Combined, these six revolutions offer businesses, governments, and society unprecedented huge opportunities for growth and innovation.

Eventually, we will enter an era where knowledge will no longer hold the same value as right now, as information and human knowledge will be universally accessible in any language for everyone.

Automation and Artificial Intelligence will enable the completion of various tasks, including scenario work and consultancy advice, with a very high accuracy rate.

What will remain are jobs and tasks that cannot be automated with robots and computers, such as soft skills such as negotiation and human creativity, as well as fundamental aspects such as compassion and love.

Additionally, certain knowledge and some work will still require human involvement and the implementation of ideas on which all focus will be placed.

Let us not forget that while ideas and knowledge hold value, it is execution that carries the utmost significance. So execution is everything. That’s why, in the years to come, the full focus will shift toward the implementation of ideas, with the generation of ideas and the provision of solutions being increasingly facilitated by Artificial Intelligence .

As automation takes over numerous tasks, there will be a growing demand for individuals who can explore the reasons behind the status quo and connect various aspects of knowledge.

Philosophy, critical thinking, as well as multidisciplinary skills will emerge as the most highly valued and well-compensated abilities.

However, all developments also present challenges related to adapting to new technologies, managing data responsibly, and addressing ethical and cybersecurity concerns.

For example, some companies already use Artificial Intelligence in combination with supercomputers to engage in stock market trading, indicating that humans can no longer compete effectively in this domain.

Mind-reading is also already a reality, as Artificial Intelligence can, for instance, decipher and interpret some fragments of our dreams, providing insights into our subconscious thoughts and experiences.

To conclude, exponential technologies and digital transformation are poised for remarkable expansion in the upcoming years.

We might also be on the verge of witnessing the emergence of something that surpasses human intelligence for the first time in human history if we believe many scientists and experts in the field. This refers to the AGI about what we are already witnessing an ongoing debate.

AGI, or Artificial General Intelligence, is a type of smart technology that can perform many different tasks, as well as or even better than humans. It is similar to a super-smart computer that can learn and solve problems in various areas. With AGI, humans will be able to provide sophisticated answers to complex queries within a matter of seconds. Many scientists and tech companies assert that the probability of Artificial General Intelligence happening soon is high, emphasizing the need for mental preparedness.

Some advanced tech companies, such as Google, claim that Artificial Intelligence  programs will be as crucial, if not more so, than the discovery of fire and electricity.

Additionally, we need to focus on improving energy efficiency, because electricity consumption is projected to increase significantly due to the exponential growth of technology and automation.

Businesses, organizations, and individuals that can effectively navigate to all kind of trends will be well-positioned to thrive in the coming years.

For numerous organizations and governments, it means that they need to shift their perspectives and work more towards inclusivity and non-biased approaches.

Training our Artificial Intelligence models accurately and ethically will be crucial. For Artificial Intelligence  to work well, it must also be very accurate. This high level of precision is crucial because it ensures that the artificial intelligence is reliable and can be trusted to make good decisions in various situations. As we improve artificial intelligence, maintaining this accuracy will become very important for it to work smoothly in the real world.

Change management and leadership will play a crucial role for many. To deal with all major challenges in the world, we need to combine different types of science and leadership skills. It calls for strong leadership, leadership that connects and takes into account long-term effects and plans.

It is also important for all of us to pay attention to changes and use different ways to predict what might happen. By doing so, we can adjust things from the past and present to fit with a new way of leading that can handle these challenges well.

Another crucial factor to consider is the growing significance of increased regulation, along with the simultaneous cultivation of a supportive learning environment and learning culture.

A co-creation mindset will become a necessity for achieving success and creating diversity. Fostering societal awareness and consciousness will become very important. Creating value and solving complex problems will become the primary focus for many. Businesses and individuals who do not focus on creating value will struggle to function.

We all must also become proficient in Artificial Intelligence. This means that we need to learn to improve how we think and analyze things, learn more about technology and Artificial Intelligence, and become skilled in effectively testing and evaluating things. You can find many free online courses to learn these skills and to gain knowledge about these topics. My advice is to begin using Artificial Intelligence  to learn and improve. You do not need to learn to code; just learn to use Artificial Intelligence. To stay ahead, attend meetings and events about new trends and Artificial Intelligence .

If attending in person is not possible, watch online events or online videos about these topics. Try things out and get better by practicing with Artificial Intelligence .

Authenticity and personal connections will also become increasingly important in upcoming years. This signifies that cultural diversity worldwide will become more significant along with international business and multicultural communication.

Collaborating, irrespective of differences such as culture and religion, will be more crucial than ever in human history.

Amidst these six revolutions, we must also remember the urgent global challenges, including water crises, refugee issues, governance gaps in certain countries, and political disagreements within countries. These challenges, along with factors such as inflation, economic inequality in nearly all countries, and hyperinflation in some nations, will strongly contribute to the imperative of reshaping our world. In essence, significant changes are not solely driven by technological transformation.

As we embark on the journey together, new governance structures, innovative business models, and evolving value systems will need to be implemented worldwide.

Moreover, we cannot escape the imperative need for a new financial system; we must reimagine how we perceive and manage our economies, and establish a strong global financial framework.

It is equally important to consider the role of taxes in our society, how they can serve the common good, and what new approaches we must adopt for a brighter future.

Some scientific researchers have already suggested the potential of basic income worldwide as a solution. Only time will tell if this innovative approach is not only feasible but also capable of guiding us towards a more equitable world.

However, the main question remains unanswered. Are we prepared to adapt to all the upcoming changes?

According to various investigations, the revolutions mentioned earlier are likely to eliminate many of our jobs. Many recent studies have postulated that machines and Artificial Intelligence could replace more than 50% of our jobs in the nearby future. McKinsey predicts that Artificial Intelligence will automate 30% of our work hours by the year 2030.

Additionally, the production costs of many products and services will decrease by at least 50%.

Some specialized technology experts are even suggesting that Artificial Intelligence  will eventually handle all jobs, reaching a point where there is no necessity for human employment. Work may become a voluntary activity rather than a necessity.

However, these same revolutions and changes will and can create new opportunities and many new jobs.

Thousands of new jobs and businesses will emerge, and we will not need to work 40 hours per week to accomplish our tasks. Some scientists and entrepreneurs suggest that work might not be even necessary in a few decades. This could result in a richer human experience, offering more freedom to learn and pursue our passion while maintaining a good standard of living.

People would be free to follow their interests instead of just working to survive.

This shift is attributed to the automation of repetitive tasks and the capability of Artificial Intelligence to handle, for example, ideation processes.

In other words, Artificial Intelligence and technology will eventually significantly enhance our productivity, ultimately granting us more freedom to engage in activities that we are truly passionate about: connecting with others, accomplishing remarkable feats, and savoring the bounties that the Earth has to offer.

Of course, new challenges will be encountered. It is imperative that we take serious and concrete measures to adapt to all types of developments.

Personally, I believe that we stand on the brink of the most significant shifts and transitions in human history. Unlike some, I do not perceive all the changes as inherently negative. If we can adapt and harness the power of science, technology, and emerging opportunities for the greater good, we can forever transform our world and the future of humanity.

It’s crucial to consider that more than half of the global population lives on less than 7 dollar per person per day. Many people cannot even afford bread tonight, let alone a roof, in cold weather.

Every 4 seconds, a child dies in the world due to a lack of simple solutions, such as medicines, clean water, electricity, and vaccines.

In terms of income distribution, the wealthiest 10% of the global population currently garners 52% of all incomes.

The increasing gap between the wealthy and the impoverished worldwide is a concerning problem that has been progressively worsening in recent decades.

Remaining passive and maintaining the status quo will result in global challenges impacting everyone. It is essential that we collectively address and resolve our common issues, transforming our world, financial systems, and the global environment to promote equality and well-being for all.

Achieving positive global outcomes requires increased awareness, adaptation, and global collaboration for a more equitable and prosperous future.

It is crucial to recognize that everything we use today began as someone’s imagination and dreams. Over time, these ideas became reality and transformed the world. Therefore, as long as we collaborate towards a common good, the potential for achieving anything remains within reach.
